What do you do for a living?

What Training Krav Maga means to you:
Krav Maga is a great workout for body and mind. It has helped me become more aware of my surroundings and feel better prepared to protect myself and my loved ones (like my daughter and my students), God forbid, I should ever need to.
What made you want to start training Krav Maga?
My husband had started several months before I did, and he LOVED it and I wanted to see why. I also was hoping to find something that made me feel more prepared to protect myself and my loved ones.
What has your training experience been like at Elite Krav Maga Training?
Elite Krav Maga Training has turned into my second family. I have learned so much about self defense and self awareness, but also met a whole bunch of really awesome people.
Have you ever done this type of training prior to coming to Ellite Krav Maga Training and fitness?
Yes, several years ago I went to a gym that taught Haganah, though I was never consistent enough in my training there to actually gain any skills. Most of my life I spent training for softball.
Is this type of training for everyone? I think everyone could benefit from some part of Krav Maga training. For me the most important part has been the mindset and the empowerment. It is not about being or becoming the biggest strongest and overpowering someone else. Krav Maga has helped me most in my mind set. I am learning how to use what I have (all 5’1″ of me). The most important thing to know is there is not one type of person Krav Maga is good for, you don’t have to be a big strong young burley man to benefit from Krav Maga. It might not be for everyone but it can be for anyone.
What has been the biggest benefit of training Krav Maga?
The biggest benefit to me has been empowerment. I know it’s cliche’ but I now know I can kick the bad guy in the groin. I can do what ever it takes to keep me safe. I wish someone had told 15 year old me the things I know now.
What do people say to you when you tell them that you train Krav Maga?
After I explain to them that it’s basically how Ziva from NCIS fights they are very impressed. It definitely earns me some street cred with my 8th grade boys, lol.
What do you like to do when you are not training?
When I am not training or working I enjoy traveling, music, spending time with family, sewing and knitting.
